Film Projects.

With a little over five years of filmmaking experience, I've developed a portfolio of short films of my own, while also working in crew positions professionally.

Bunny.

This short film explores the modern issue of media literacy, and the manipulative tactics some creators use to influence their younger audiences into believing or acting upon things that don't seem to align with their set of beliefs. All of the directing, cinematography, writing, acting, storyboarding, and editing of this piece was done by me.

Experience.

I studied film for 4 years as a student at Carnegie Mellon University. I have starred in, animated, filmed, written and directed multiple films. I've held several crew positions including, cinematography, script supervising, and boom operating.

Professionally, I have been hired to work as an artist in order to craft storyboards and operate cameras as a director of photography, as well as working as a general production assistant.

Light of My Life.

This is a short film I made for a study on black and white photography and contrast. I began thinking about high contrast images, like darkness and light. As I found and filmed footage, I began incorporating not just physical light, but the people that brought light into my life.

Sleep to Dream.

This is a short film about addiction. It explores the sense of hopeless self destruction that many addicts face. I utilized some surrealist-style filmmaking techniques in order to create that sense of disorientation and fear. I created this film as my final short film of my college career.

You Left Something.

This is a film written and directed by Cole Schubert, starring Helena Chuang and Rusty Daniel. I was in charge of the cinematography. The film focuses on a couple going through a breakup, arguing about a lost ring. The two end up finding it in an unexpected location.
